Courseway is an educational mobile application designed for users aged 16 years and above, focused on study abroad guidance and related learning services. This Privacy Policy explains how Courseway collects, uses, stores, and protects user information when you use the application. By accessing or using the Courseway app, you agree to the terms and practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Courseway collects personal information including name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and highest educational qualification. This information is collected during user registration, authentication, and profile creation through email and OTP login, phone number OTP login, or Google Sign-In. The collected information is used solely for identifying users, managing user accounts, enabling core application features, providing educational services, and improving the overall user experience.
In addition to account-related information, Courseway collects limited purchase-related data when users make in-app purchases. This includes purchase status, transaction identifiers, and entitlement information required to validate and manage purchases. This data is collected and processed to enable access to purchased content and to restore purchases across devices. No sensitive payment information such as credit card numbers, debit card details, or UPI credentials is collected or stored by Courseway.
User data is securely stored on Courseway’s backend servers and is used only for internal application functionality. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties. User information is not shared with external entities except with trusted third-party services that are essential for operating the app or when disclosure is required by law.
Courseway uses third-party services including Firebase Authentication, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Google Sign-In, RevenueCat, and Razorpay. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics are used to monitor app usage, diagnose technical issues, and improve app stability and performance. RevenueCat is used to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions, and Razorpay is used for secure payment processing. These services may collect limited non-personal, technical, diagnostic, and purchase-related data in accordance with their respective privacy policies.
The app supports in-app purchases, including one-time purchases such as buying coins. All payment transactions are securely processed through RevenueCat and Razorpay. Courseway does not store or process sensitive payment information. For iOS users, purchase-related data is collected and processed in compliance with Apple’s App Store requirements, and “Purchases” is declared as a data category collected for app functionality purposes in App Store privacy labels.
Courseway uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to send important notifications related to account activity, purchases, and essential app updates. The app does not send promotional or marketing notifications.
Reasonable and appropriate security measures are implemented to protect user data against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. All data transmission and access are conducted over secure HTTPS connections, and access to personal information is limited to authorized personnel only.
Courseway is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. The application is specifically designed for users aged 16 years and above.
Users have the right to access, update, or request deletion of their personal data at any time. Account deletion requests can be made directly within the app or by contacting our support team. Upon receiving a valid request, user data will be deleted from our systems in accordance with applicable laws and operational requirements.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page, and continued use of the Courseway app after such updates indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
